In the evening, after looking at the moon through this reflecting telescope, we found Jupiter a little higher and to the west. On one side of the planet, we could see two Galilean moons and a third moon on the other. The orbital periods of Jupiter's moons are very short so every evening we would be able to record a difference in their positions -- just like Galileo did! |
