Questions to support planning (Reys et al., 2020):

(1) What mathematics content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge do I know and need?
(2) How will I differentiate my teaching to ensure that all students are learning?
(3) What do my students already know?
(4) What kinds of tasks will I give my students?
(5) How will I encourage my students to talk, what kinds of questions will I ask, and how will I group my students?
(6) What materials will my students and I use?

In your small group, pick three of the following six stimulus materials.
Inspect them carefully.

Describe each document: what is its source, purpose, audience?
What is the document's relevance to planning or designing learning?
What connections can you make between the three in what they have to say about planning in maths?
Be prepared to share your thoughts with the class.

Remember the number of your breakout room!
